Stunning architecture, a mesmerising proscenium and one of Melbourne's most famous stages, Forum I benefits from a large unobstructed floor space with adjustable flooring at the rear.

With a striking 1920's mosaic floor and magnificent original marble staircases, this space benefits from high ceilings and natural light during the day and a view of Federation Square at night. Split over two levels, it is suitable for up to 300 guests for pre or post cocktail receptions and pre dinner drinks or VIP area.

Marriner Group Catering

With the re-imagining of one of Melbourne’s most iconic and unique venues, the Marriner Group Catering team decided the only way forward would be to offer something truly outside the norm.

We’re a bunch of dedicated chefs, we love food and want to match it to your event with a menu specifically designed for you and your clients. We’ll take the time to meet with you and discuss your requirements, then develop a menu that will exceed any expectations.

We believe that event style dining should echo the same level of passion and quality that Melbourne has come to expect from its restaurants.

Rose water crème catalana with compressed strawberries and candied pistachios.

Twice cooked Korean pork belly with pickled radish and apple salad, kimchi puree and ssamjang sauce.

Dark chocolate mousse with salted caramel and chocolate petals.

Seared scallops with sweet corn, fennel crisps and chorizo crumb, smoked serrano salt.

House cured ocean trout with torn radicchio with witlof, blood orange, za’atar spiced grissini stick and sumac and pomengranate dressing.

Tuna tartare with dashi jelly, puffed black rice and avocado and wasabi mayo.

Caviar burgers with truffled egg, crème fraiche and chives.

Sher wagyu beef bresaola with golden beets and balsamic infused beetroot gel, baby cresses and fresh horseradish.

Sher wagyu beef brisket sliders with chipotle sauce and pickled slaw.

Meet Our Executive Chef

David Ricardo comes to Marriner Group with over 18 years’ experience and off an impressive stint with The Lucas Group in both Melbourne and Hong Kong. Having worked at restaurants such as Chin Chin and Pearl, he has been awarded two chef’s hats by The Age Good Food Guide Awards.

David and his team specialise in providing a unique dining experience and surpassing clients’ expectations. With a strong focus on style and quality, we promise a gastronomic sensory experience using modern techniques and contemporary styles, placing a particular emphasis on sustainable, locally sourced and seasonal produce.
