Handsome Tours are proud to present the long awaited return of The Mountain Goats in 2026! 

After selling out every show on their September 2005 tour and spellbinding audiences with their humour, warmth and rich, emotional performances The Mountain Goats are, some might say by popular demand, returning to Australia for another run of shows this April, including a night at Forum Melbourne on Friday 17 April.

The Mountain Goats main-man, John Darnielle, is without doubt one of the most imaginative lyricists of his generation. Since he pressed record for the first time – more than a decade ago – skewed characters, vibrant images and perfectly-framed narratives have flowed in their hundreds. His last two albums, We Shall All Be Healed & The Sunset Tree, have built him a large & loyal following in Australia through such radio favourites as ”Palmcorder Yajna“, ”Letter From Belgium“, ”Dance Music” and the anthemic ”This Year“.

This tour will coincide with the release of their 24th studio album, ‘Through This Fire Across From Peter Balkan’, out this November, and will see them once again play a series of intimate shows that should not be missed.
